~Insights and Analysis from Mark Burrell, Author of ‘Rediscovering the American Covenant~
PUBLIUS SPECIAL GUEST: Mark Burrell, author of Rediscovering the American Covenant: Roadmap to Restore America.
Anheuser-Busch stock and their public image both took a hit recently after the company’s campaign featuring trans activist Dylan Mulvaney gained unwanted scrutiny. Since then, country star John Rich has pulled Bud Light from his Nashville bar, Kid Rock used Bud Light cases for target practice, and many small-town bars across the U.S. have stopped selling the beer as distributors remain concerned about losing their customers.
Author and media commentator Mark Burrell believes that Bud Light, and America itself, have an identity crisis and have forgotten what defines us.
“When a national icon like Bud Light misfires, there is a reflexive action”. says Burrell., author of “Rediscovering the American Covenant. “How could their marketing department be so oblivious to this very predictable reaction?”
Mark Burrell describes the root issue in his new book “Rediscovering the American Covenant”. “America has to rediscover and defend our national founding covenant, which stands on timeless principles of right and wrong and defines who we are. Chasing after Gen Z and breaking that covenant with so many of their current customers is the 100% wrong optic for Bud Light.”
Talk with Burrell about his "Roadmap to Restore America" and what steps Bud Light and other brands who lose their way should do to fulfill their moral obligation to the U.S., which helped them strike gold in America in the first place.

The silent killer in the affair was the egocentric opening of the Harvard/Wharton grad/twit, Alissa Heinerscheid, whose canned word-spurt goes; "I am a businesswoman....." followed by a depressing stream of drivel about a "brand in decline" with a sputtering of of grad-school buzzwords that smacked of a sports fan who felt she was someone because she rooted enthusiastically for a victorious team. I remember seeing the late Ben Zaricor when he opened up the display of his marvelous flag collection at the San Francisco Presidio many years ago. What were his opening words? "I have always loved Teas " He was there to kick off a wonderful display of Zaricor's collection historic flags and he kicked-off the event with an innocent, yet overpowering 5-word long ad. I loved the exhibit and him. I also remember going to the market after the event and buying 5-little cartons of Good Earth brand teas to support Ben Z's passion for history and flags. Still today when I sip on a piping hot tea I can hear Ben's words "I have always loved teas."
In contrast--IF I ever have a Budweiser product (of any kind) pass over my lips, I am going to wonder if it has Clydesdale urine in it and whether the brand is "in decline." Heinerscheid's mission was to make people drool to taste a golden mixture combination of botanicals, water and fermentation. She failed dismally and for reasons obvious to anyone who does not have shares in In-Bev (BUD) she pulled a boner when she "spit in the soup"*
People are becoming aware in droves these days. Humanity is on the rebound. A.I. has its popularity but humanity is not going to roll over and be corrupted by Harvard/Wharton egomaniacs.
Sad to note that my own alma mater, Whittier College, is struggling desperately because of the questionable (mis)management of its own Harvard MBA grad, who has put biznus in front of the hearts and aspirations of those who pay the bills (with crippling student loans).
*Lyndon (Remember the SS Liberty) Johnson once ejaculated; "Don't spit in the soup; We all gotta eat." Often when I see soup, I wonder..........
