Biden Goes South
POTUS finally visits the border! American tourists caught in El Chapo related gun battle... Interview expert on travel to Mexico-Janet Sanders
‘He Didn’t See Anything’: Border Patrol Union President Rips Biden’s Visit
Texas GOP Congressman Rips Biden Over Border Snub: ‘Insulting’
PUBLIUS SPECIAL GUEST: Janet Sanders, is a successful U.S. financial software executive, who runs a travel advisory site at Mexiknowinfo.com that warns American travelers of the ongoing dangers and risks they will face while visiting Mexico.
President Biden was in El Paso, TX Sunday visiting the Mexican border for his first time as President. The number crossing the border has risen dramatically during Biden’s first two years in office; every day, thousands of Mexicans are desperately trying to escape the out-of-control crime, corruption, and danger to come to America by any means necessary.
And, at the same time, sunshine-starved Americans go in the opposite direction to Mexico. They flock to Mexico and its resorts seeking sun, fun, rest, and relaxation. Most don't realize the intense danger they're putting themselves in every time they cross the Southern border and leave the U.S.
Janet Sanders was among them; the Colorado-based business owner loved her frequent trips to Mexico so much, she and her husband eventually moved full-time to the picturesque beachfront Yucatan peninsula. Soon, their dream south-of-the-border dream became a nightmare battle with corrupt public officials, colluding with cartel thugs to surround and then destroy Janet's beachfront home and belongings, brutally kill her pets and terrorize Janet and her husband Joe in an all-night life-threatening siege.
Now, safely back in the U.S., Janet is sounding the alarm to American citizens to steer clear of Mexico when choosing foreign travel and retirement destinations.
"My story is one of many, but the Mexican authorities are under the thumb of the cartel so much that journalists in Mexico are afraid for their lives to report on the extent of the danger-especially to Americans that they perceive as wealthy", said Janet.
Sanders points to reports from just days ago, that received very little attention, when 29 people were killed, the local airport, planes, and dozens of buses and other vehicles were set ablaze during a fierce battle between the Mexican army and cartel thugs, led by the son of notorious drug kingpin “El Chapo”. Tellingly, although El Chapo’s son had a $5 million reward on his head by the U.S., a Mexican judge quickly moved to suspend extradition. At least one American tourist family with an eight-year-old child was caught in the crossfire; details are here-https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-64179356
Janet’s website www.mexiknowinfo.com aims to be an information source for Americans who are considering a vacation or permanent move to Mexico. Sanders advice? “Don’t do it. The sun and scenery aren’t worth risking your life.”
BIO: Successful U.S. financial software executive Janet Sanders and her Mexican-American husband Joe moved to their “dream home” in the picturesque Yucatan peninsula, only to see her and her husband's dreams (along with most of their personal property) destroyed by cartel-like thugs who were protected by corrupt local police officials.
Now safely back in the United States, Janet Sanders is sounding the alarm via her travel advisory site www.mexiknowinfo.com which is adding startling new accounts every day of increased risk to American citizens visiting Mexico.
Janet will tell her complete and harrowing story in a soon-to-be released book from award winning publisher Headline Books. Ms. Sanders hopes her story can be cautionary tale not only for American tourists and ex-pats, but also for government and border officials in both the U.S. and Mexico.
