Three Controversial Topics from a Biblical Perspective
The Border, The Trans, The Debt Ceiling
~Insights and Analysis from Mark Burrell, Author of ‘Rediscovering the American Covenant~
PUBLIUS SPECIAL GUEST: Mark Burrell, author of Rediscovering the American Covenant: Roadmap to Restore America.
Mark Burrell, faith-based thought leader, researcher, and author of “Rediscovering the American Covenant: Roadmap to Restore America” is available to offer an analysis of three of the most divisive and controversial issues in the news today from a Biblical perspective…the border crisis, the transgender issue, and the looming debt ceiling deadline.
The Border Crisis:
Burrell says the Bible provides clear guidance on the role of governments in protecting their citizens. Regarding the border crisis, he notes that “God desires sovereign separate nations that are fruitful and just, and that governments have a responsibility to protect the inalienable rights of their citizens, even if that means building a wall.” The same principle applies to protecting one's family by locking their house.
Burrell offers a unique perspective on the transgender issue. He notes that this movement has been enabled by the belief there are no true moral constraints. Christians have been warning for decades that rejecting moral constraints would lead to an increasingly immoral culture. The imposition of “drag queen story hours” on preschoolers proves they were correct. Burrell says that "This is not free expression; it is the imposition of a belief system contrary to the moral foundation our national founding covenant was based on and can only lead to cultural decline.”
The Debt Ceiling:
Burrell provides a fresh perspective on the debt ceiling deadline and Biblical guidance on government spending. He notes that long-term borrowing above what we take in shifts the burden to future generations, which is essentially generational theft. “This is immoral, and at some point, we will have to deal with out-of-control spending or risk losing America's standing in the free world, threatening freedom across the globe.”
Mark Burrell's analysis provides a different perspective on these divisive issues, offering a thought-provoking viewpoint that challenges conventional wisdom.
